Washing away

She stands along the beach,
Staring far off the distance.
Staring at the setting sun,
She slowly drifts into the water.

She wanders without a thought,
Just slowly wandering, aimlessly forward
She looks down, looking down below her,
She sees the waves brush against her feet,
All she feels is her hope slowly washing away….
